What We Look For
WE HIRE DYNAMIC EDUCATORS WITH A LOVING,
“WHATEVER IT TAKES” ATTITUDE.
Seton Teacher Habits
Successful teacher candidates exemplify these key characteristics throughout the application and interview process.
Teaching Experience
A Wisconsin teaching license or a commitment to obtain one is required.
We are eager to work with highly-qualified candidates to build a personalized plan of study to achieve a license through our partner universities. Please contact our team if you have questions about your credential.
Although ideal candidates have teaching experience with evidence of results, we are always looking for great people who may be…
- New to elementary and middle school,
- New to teaching, or
- New to education but who have a history of achievement (regardless of field) and want to be part of our change effort in Milwaukee.
We encourage aspiring educators to learn more about the Seton Teacher Residency. It’s a great way to earn your certification while being immersed in the classroom with an experienced teacher.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Seton Catholic Schools is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. All employment decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and competence.

Know someone perfect for the Seton team? We’ll be happy to make the contact. The person referred will still need to apply online, but we can provide additional information on Why Seton is an outstanding career choice.
The Seton Way
“The Seton Way” embodies the goals of our bold educational approach. It’s our guiding principles. It’s our inspiration. Quite simply, The Seton Way expresses the “why” of what we do, and how we do it.
It also sustains and discerns what it means to be a Seton Transformational Educator.
At Seton Catholic Schools, our priority is the whole student – and it extends beyond the individual student to their families and neighborhoods. It’s a unique holistic approach to education. One that will change Milwaukee.
Seton Catholic Schools is committed to student excellence. We hold students to high academic standards and encourages teachers and staff to set high expectations.
Students are more than just test scores at Seton: they are people with hope and dreams.
Seton supports the whole student.
We are proud to offer social workers, counselors and other support networks in every school. Seton prioritizes the students’ nutrition and physical health through free or low-cost meal programs, and physical education classes.
Seton Catholic Schools is dedicated to building a better future by educating and challenging our youth. We are grounding students in the teachings and faith of Jesus Christ, as well as sharing the tradition and excellence of a Catholic faith and Catholic education.
In a Seton classroom, students discover their own divine dignity and the importance of service for others.
