Mary Queen of Saints Catholic Academy

Mary Queen of Saints school is devoted to fostering and developing the whole child — socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually. It’s a holistic approach to education and one embraced by students and their families… and Seton Catholic Schools.

This K3 through 8th grade school has successfully created a Christ-centered and immersed learning environment focused on student success.

To cultivate a lifelong love of learning, classroom instruction is dynamic and supported by multiple academic programs and competitions. Core subject areas are central in the curriculum with a strong focus on language and communication.

Religion is taught daily and integrated into all subject areas. Inclusion of Technology, P.E., Music, Health, Art, and 60 minutes of weekly Spanish instruction complete the student’s academic curriculum. Outside the classroom, field trips and extracurriculars extend and reinforce classroom learning.

At Mary Queen of Saints, the call to integrate the teachings of Jesus Christ into the spiritual, academic and social development of each student is embraced. Students are on fire with their faith and develop a strong Catholic identity. Participation in service projects is at an all-time high.

This school community, rich in tradition, is well preparing students for success.

Mary Queen of Saints Catholic Academy
integrates the teachings of Jesus Christ
into the spiritual, academic, and social development
of each individual.

Mary Queen of Saints Academy offers excellent classroom instruction. Teachers engage students with a variety of materials from textbooks to technology. In alignment with the Wisconsin Department of Instruction standards, the curriculum follows the Archdiocese of Milwaukee guidelines and new Seton Catholic Schools enhancements.

Students are encouraged to expand and test their knowledge by participating in:

  • The Thinking Cap Quiz Bowl

  • Spelling Bees

  • The Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest

  • The St. Thomas More Math Challenge

  • The CMH STEM Challenge

  • Forensics

  • Faith Jeopardy

  • Six Flags Read to Succeed Reading Program

  • Reading Across America

The school community centers itself in daily prayer, and students actively experience their Catholic faith in all parts of school life. Weekly Mass is largely the responsibility of the students, who enjoy serving as ministers of hospitality, readers, cantors, instrumentalists, and choir members. The school community celebrates each liturgical season – Reconciliation during Advent and Lent, observing the Stations of the Cross, and honoring Mary at the May Crowning.

Students walk in Christ’s footsteps through service to the school and the community. Middle school students assist during lunch and recess hours with lunchroom cleanup and take on responsibility roles for guiding younger fellow students. The whole school gets involved in charity drives from pajama drives to assembling homeless care packages.

The Mary Queen of Saints school community prides itself in actively living out the teachings of Christ.

Mary Queen of Saints offers busy, working parents the opportunity to have students attend before and after school care in a safe, supervised environment. Students find it a time to do homework (and get help if needed) or enjoy fun activities playing with peers. The program is open 6a – 6p during normal school days.

The Summer Camp curriculum offers campers numerous ways to grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, and physically.

To enhance student social development and apply classroom learnings, Mary Queen of Saints students are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of extracurricular activities.

All students have the opportunity to enjoy Boy or Girl Scouts, Chess Club, and Art Club. As students grow older, additional extracurricular options become available including Student Council, Club Crochet, Church Choir and Band.

All students can stay active and healthy through participation in basketball and soccer. When students reach 5th grade, volleyball and track & field are available organized athletic options.
