One School Uniting Many Neighborhoods

Seton Catholic Schools is joining together with the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s “On The Table” campaign to start a conversation around engaging parents across neighborhoods and other lines of difference.

“On the Table” gathers civic representatives for a meal and conversation around strengthening our communities.

Seton Catholic Schools has a vested interest in strengthening communities and we know that it begins in our schools.  Studies have shown the correlation between strengthening Catholic schools and safe, stable, thriving communities where families live, work and play.

Milwaukee Schools – Catholic, public and charter – welcome students from many different backgrounds and neighborhoods.  We’re leveraging the power of conversation to explore ways to engage families and create welcoming communities for families from various backgrounds and cultures.

Our conversation will delve into the possibilities that lie ahead when we authentically engage parents and families and unite many neighborhoods within our schools. We know that searching for solutions to strengthen our schools will result in safe, connected and happy communities.

It all begins when we break bread together and start talking about what really matters – educating our kids, the future of our city.

Please join us on October 17 from 5:30 – 7:00 PM at Catholic East Elementary School, 2461 N. Murray Avenue in Milwaukee, to get the conversation started. Click here to join our conversation.
